What is calisthenics?
If you like to push your mental and physical limits (or plan to), you should take a closer look at calisthenics. And even though this sport may seem like more of a new trend, it's quite old and dates back to the 19th century*! 🤓 What makes calisthenics special is that you only train with your own body weight.
You don't need much more than a mat, and depending on the exercise, a pull-up bar or rings - and you're ready to go! So in a typical workout you work very intensively with your body, and don't let e.g. equipment lead you in a certain direction - you are free. The combination of a calisthenics #workout and #yoga is extremely exciting. Both support each other, because you get to know your body, your strengths and weaknesses, you become more flexible and get better at targeting certain muscle groups.
