IKARUS - MEDITATION - HIER HOLST DU DIR INSPIRATION | PART 2
"Mindfulness meditation lowers the cortisol levels in the blood, suggesting that it can lower stress and may decrease the risk of diseases that arise from stress."

Booom! Rarely have I read a sentence that sums up the effectiveness of regular meditation better than this one. After we talked about how best to start meditating last week, today we're talking about the "right or wrong". Can you Do you meditate wrong at all? Probably yes. But you will find that out for yourself if, for example, you spend the whole time looking at your phone and checking Insta, even though you should actually be with YOURSELF. ;-)

During meditation  It's also partly about how you perceive the noise in your environment. This will present you with challenges, especially at the beginning. You'll say: "I can't switch off, I'm doing something wrong, I'm giving up!"

But it is normal that you react to noises that happen around you, because you are in the office or on the train, or because the neighbor is hammering again... after 10 p.m. But this also means the noise that is your head. When you start meditating, it is also about your surroundings. How do your feet feel on the floor (carpet? mat? wooden or stone floor?), your back on the armrest, where is the coffee machine, the is cleaning itself (someone has to do it ;))? Concentrate on the sounds and what you feel, notice it intensely. You will quickly realize that you have to accept that you cannot control some things. As in the " real life". Some things we can control, some we cannot. One goal (of meditation) is that we learn to cope with them and begin to come into a harmonious state with our external and internal issues.
